School Re-opening Update

Dear Parents

I write with an update of the current situation with regard to the partial re-opening of school. 

All staff, SLT and Governors are working extremely hard to put in place a rigorous and robust re-opening plan to make sure that school re-opens in a safe way for all children, parents and staff. All plans are subject to scrutiny from Directors for LDST and must go through a consultative process. 

I'm sure you will agree that there is a lot to consider and plan for to ensure the safety of everyone involved. I had hoped that we would be in a position to open from some point next week. This is now highly unlikely.

I must inform you that school will need to remain closed to ALL children for the whole of the week commencing 8th June

I appreciate that this is frustrating and disappointing for many Parents and I apologise for the inconvenience this may cause. However, I want to reassure you that we are working extremely hard to be in a position to re-open but will only do so when we feel it is as safe as possible for all and when we are ready to re-open.

I will write to you again next week when we have further information available.
