We have been working on rhyming words again and trying to hear them in our stories. Can you remember the  Duck in the Truck story? 

This week it is oval week. We made Humpty Dumpty and continued to discover all about eggs. We drew some oval ladybirds and put different amount of spots on them. 

Our  traditional tale this week has been another lesser known one, The Frog Prince.  We found out how a frog changed into a Prince and then went on to learn all about frogs and tadpoles. 

We have tried clapping syllables this week and thinking about how many parts in some names of animals. Can you clap out hippopotamus?
