Reading

We have enjoyed reading lots of poems this week.  We read 'Don't Forget the Bacon' by Pat Hutchins and identified rhyming words in the poem.

We had more super Ninja Belt winners this week!  Congratulations to these children who have all read 25 times at home!

Year 2 have enjoyed reading about Plop the baby barn owl in story time this week.  We have been reading The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark by Jill Tomlinson.

Year 2 have enjoyed reading a selection of Bible stories in RE this week.  After reading a few different stories, we discussed which were our favourites and why.

In English we have been reading Florence Nightingale.  The children made some predictions based on the front cover.  After reading the first chapter, they thought of some adjectives to describe Florence.

Year 2 have enjoyed 'The Magic Finger' by Roald Dahl in story time this week.
