This  term in Nursery, we have been learning how to say the numbers from 0-5 in Spanish.  We learnt some actions to help us remember them.

Today we sang a song about raindrops.  A raindrop is una gota.

In Reception, we have started to learn a new song called Un Pequeño Dedo – One Little finger.  In the song we have to tap our fingers.

Today in Nursery, we practised the 4 colours we have learnt so far in Spanish.  We had to listen very carefully and show the colour that Mrs. Kimmins said in Spanish on our fans.

Then, we had to listen out for 2 colours that were said in Spanish and show them on our fans.

Great job Nursery.  Buen trabajo.

In Reception today, we learnt a different song about animals in Spanish. Most of them are farmyard animals, but can you spot the odd one out?

We practised saying the Spanish names of the animals and then joined in with a song to help us remember them.

Today in Nursery we learnt 2 new colours in Spanish.

We went on a colour hunt in Nursery, looking for obects that were amarillo and verde.

We sang a Spanish song about the 4 colours we have learnt - rojo, azul, amarillo, verde.

This week in Reception, we learnt the names of some other animals.

We practised saying the names and did actions to help us remember them.

Then, we put all the animals in a song.

This week in Reception we started a new topic about animals.  We learnt a song about a snake in Spanish called La serpiente se acerca - The snake is coming.  We sang it and pretended to be snakes!

Today in Nursery, we started a new topic about colours.  We started with the colours red and blue.

We went on a colour hunt!  We had to find an object in the colour that Mrs. Kimmins said in Spanish.

Autumn 2

İFeliz Navidad!   Happy Christmas!

Today we practised wishing each other Happy Christmas, using the special Spanish words, Feliz Navidad.

  Jose and Elena helped us.

In Reception, we have been learning how to say some items of clothing.

We sang a song to help us remember the Spanish word for each item.

¿Cómo estás?

In Nursery, we have learnt to ask, How are you? We sang a song to help us remember.

We practised asking José and Elena how they are.

Autumn 1

In Nursery this week we  followed some  Spanish instructions in a song with Basho and his dog.

We also practised our song, Hola, Hola, Hola, It means Hello.  Jose sang along with us.

In Reception, we continued with our weather topic, and learnt how to say it's raining.

  We counted the raindrops in Spanish.

We sang a song about the rain.

Today in Nursery, José and Elena helped us to learn a new question and answer.

This week in Reception, we have been learning how to say some simple weather phrases in Spanish. Jose and Elena have been a great help!

This week in Nursery we learnt how to say some family names.

We said Hola to the family in our finger rhyme.

We practised our special Spanish instructions with actions (escucha - listen, mira - look, arriba - up, abajo - down, baila- dance, camina - walk).  Elena and Jose helped us.

This week we met Jose's friend Elena.  She is also Spanish, so we practised saying, 'Hola,' to her.

This week in Nursery we met José.  He is from Spain, so we have to speak to him in Spanish.  Today we learnt how to say Hello.
