Year 2

Welcome to Year 2

This is the home of Mrs.King and Mrs. Buckley. 

This year we are focusing on being more independent, always trying our best with our work and being good friends to each other.  

Spellings are sent out on a Monday and we have our spelling test on a Friday.  We have homework each week. This will usually be either Maths or English. Homework books are sent home on a Friday and can be brought in any time up until the following Friday.

We also ask that children read as much as possible. Books are changed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In Year 2 we are working on our comprehension skills. Please ask your child questions about their book and encourage them to show you the answers in the text. Please record your child's reading in their reading journals so they can earn their reading ninja certificates.

In Year 2 we are working on our 2x, 5x and 10x tables. 

 

Our P.E lessons this half term will be on a  Monday and Wednesday afternoon with myself,  Mr. Noblett and MIss. Morris  However, it is important to have our P.E kit in school every day.
