What an amazing morning we had today. We had a webinar with Nick Sharratt who read us his Shark series books, including his brand new book Oh No Shark In The Snow. He told us some interesting things about his life and how he got his ideas. He even taught us how to draw some of his illustrations from his books. Here are some of our fantastic attempts.

So much reading going on at home in Y1. We have had lots of white belts and our first yellow belts too.
Autumn 1
We are reading poems from the book Sensational.
We have been reading poems about the senses . We enjoyed this one and thought about our favourite sounds that we would miss if the sound collector took them - my dad singing, my nans radio, my mum saying I love you were some of them.

We read the Great Paper Caper by Oliver Jeffers as part of our recycling science topic.Then we had fun making our own paper aeroplanes.
