We had a great afternoon with Progressive Sports this afternoon.
More from Down Under
More fantastic projects and presentations about Australia.
What a great start we have had to our Arts Week. We have had some fabulous Australia presentations from the children so far, with more to come each day this week. I love that they are all so different. This morning we have been singing and dancing to songs from Australia and this afternoon we had a brilliant drumming workshop where we sang a song from Africa. We have started to work on our class dot art display...keep watching the Y2 window all week.

The children have ben doing their own projects about Australia at home for their homework. They have all been fabulous so far and they have put a lot of effort into them. Thank you parents and carers for all of your support at home. The children have done really well presenting them clearly and enthusiastically to their classmates.
We watched an Australian children's programme where Ozzie introduced us to some Indigenous people who talked about how they paint themselves with ochre and how all of their songs and dances are about respecting and protecting Mother Earth.
