Headteacher’s Message

"I can do all things through God who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

Welcome to Cronton Church of England Primary School. The vision for our school is to provide a wide range of high-quality educational and life experiences so that our children can attain their full potential within a happy and Christian environment based on the Gospel values. We strive to ensure that through our "Keys Curriculum," all children are included and are able to achieve success in all areas of school life. Our dedicated team at Cronton work extremely hard to ensure that the education we offer is the best we can give.

Our school is a happy and vibrant place, one where children feel secure and able to give of their best. We are extremely proud of our care and nurture of pupils and the results we achieve together, working alongside our parents.

I hope that this website will give you a real flavour of what our school is about and the work that we do. If you would like more information about the school please do not hesitate to contact us.

Miss Julie Roberts

Interim headteacher

There will be no set summer / winter uniform. Parents can decide whether to choose for a cooler option when the weather is warmer – this can be at any point throughout the year.

White polo shirt; (No tie)

Grey trousers / shorts / skirt / pinafore,

Royal blue cardigan / sweatshirt with or without the school logo,

Grey socks or grey tights

Black shoes (no trainers please)

Blue gingham dress (with white socks)

Black/Navy sandals are acceptable in warmer weather but please make sure that your child's feet are adequately supported.

Please note, trainers and white sandals / shoes are not part of the school uniform.

Coat – children should wear a sensible and weather appropriate coat – there is no specified colour.

Only a book bag should be used not rucksacks or large handbags.

PE UNIFORM

There is also a P.E. uniform. This consists of a royal blue T-shirt and royal blue shorts which is the same material and for outdoor PE, a royal blue sweatshirt royal blue tracksuit bottoms. We are currently moving to a new PE kit which will be obligatory in September 2026.

Children do not usually need to wear plimsoles / pumps for indoor P.E. as we are advised that bare foot work helps develop the feet better. Pumps should only be worn in cases of a foot infection. For outdoors, the children should have black trainers ( no other visible markings in any colour) or pumps.

The school does not sell uniform, but this can be purchased from

Jewellery

From September 2024 there was a no jewellery policy in place. Children are allowed to wear a wrist watch only. This should not be a smart watch – it should not be able to record or link to the internet.

If your child has their ears pierced, their earrings should be removed before school each day. This is for the safety of all children. If you are considering having your child’s ears pierced, it would be beneficial to have this done at the start of the 6 weeks holidays in July. This will allow a full six weeks for them to heal and settle before the return to school in September. This year, those with Pierced ears are allowed to wear spacers as an alternative to studs. The spacers can be used to support children with new piercings and will need to be covered with plasters for PE. Studs should not be worn. The school cannot be held responsible for items brought into school if they are lost or damaged. Please note that long hair should be tied back – including boys. Watches should be removed for PE.

Thank you for your co-operation with this.
