Pupil Premium / Covid 19 Catch Up Premium

The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is funding provided for schools, which is additional to main school funding. The Grant is designed to help boost the progress and attainment of disadvantaged pupils and reduce the gap between the lowest and highest achievers at Cronton CE Primary School.

At Cronton CE Primary School, we recognise that every child is unique and important. They are at the centre of their learning; starting as part of a class, whole school, the local community and then on to their future role in modern Britain and as a future global citizen.

Within each pupil we aim to develop the values and the learning attitudes of INDEPENDENCE, PERSERVERENCE, CURIOSITY, TEAMWORK and take RESPONSIBILITY to always be the BEST we can be.

We want our pupils to show RESPECT and have RESPONSIBILITY to each other and in all aspects of life. We embrace children’s knowledge and understanding of the developing world we live in, from our COMMUNITY, modern multi -cultural Britain and as a Global Citizens of the future.

This is our aspiration for all pupils to have full acess to and experience of the curriculum regardless of socio-economic background, race, age, gender, disability, religion and belief.

The Pupil Premium Grant is therefore a key resource for ensuring the realisation of this inclusive and aspirational ethos.  We believe that it is essential that personalised support is provided for pupils. We recognise that not all pupils who receive free school meals will be socially disadvantaged or underachieving. We also recognise that not all pupils who are socially disadvantaged are registered or qualify for free school meals. We therefore reserve the right to allocate the Pupil Premium funding to support any individual the school has legitimately identified as being socially disadvantaged.

The Pupil Premium Grant is paid for pupils who are: recorded as being eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) in the last 6 years, Children who are Looked After (CLA) or who have parents in the armed forces.
