In the Autumn term Year 3 worked with Elms Computing Consultancy to develop their computer science and digital creativity (IT) skills. The worked on designing, writing and debugginf programs that accomplish specific goals, as well as learning about computer networks including the internet; how they can provide multiple services, such as the world wide web; and the opportunities they offer for communication.
In the Spring term, Year 3 developed their Information Technology skills. They explored rainforests through new Virtual Reality (VR) apps. They then used the knowledge they have developed to create their own interactive learning games for younger children to play.
In the summer term the children mastered the art of using a keyboard and short cuts with a series of fun activities.
